Event Story

History...the great teacher...

This thought filled Nakhte's meditating mind. The turbulent sea slapping wavy hands against the creaking ship's hull was ignored. The old sage was single minded with his hope that his people would look backwards and learn, he would have to have patience and trust that others would 'hear' too.

Similar thoughts were going through the acolytes' awareness in Memphis. "Yes, we will ready the people!" the priest stated aloud as he rose from his kneeling position. A god's command was not to be ignored. Rough linen robes swished around his legs as he strode to first one acolyte and then another giving orders to alert the people of Egypt.

"Fellow Egyptians, go to your anvil and forge an Archeologist's Shovel. You will need 8 metal. For those without much blacksmithing ability, a low quality can be had easily. If you are talented, try your hand for a higher quality. Tell your brothers and sisters to wait for the time assigned to begin looking for the ancient Monuments long buried. Spread the word and ready yourselves!," was the message each of the priest's servants ran with.

Event Directions and Description

  • Have an Archaeologist's Shovel in your inventory. The Endurance timer is affected by the quality of the Archeologist Shovel. (9.5k almost always x6, 8k x5 & x6, 7k x4 & x5, 4k x3 the normal speed of digging).
  • A quality 4020 Archeologist's Shovel can be made by loading 8 metal on the anvil and immediately completing it or try to make a higher quality shovel.
  • Once the event begins, click yourself/Special/Archeologist and pin the Survey Area menu. The result of the survey will be in Main chat. There is a slight Endurance timer on surveying.
  • When the message in Main says "You uncover a piece of the Ancient Monument of Whatever at #x the normal speed!", the monument appears partially out of the ground. Call your fellow Egyptians to come help dig It out.
  • To help dig you must get close enough to get the "This is an Ancient Monument of Whatever" window. You then click on "Gently dig around the Ancient Monument of Whatever". There is an Endurance timer.
  • The monument is completely dug up when you have the ability to read the challenge.
  • Prizes are handed out when the event ends which is when all monuments are completely uncovered.

Previous Tales Monument Locations

In T4 the people of Egypt elected to have 7 new skills and technologies researched and implemented by the next generation's scientists with the warning that all monuments would be considered false and give no new tests in the next generation. Wahim and Sami were two sons of the deceased Pharaoh who put forth a vote for their ascension to the throne with those two contingencies.
