The location for buildings which can (or must) be constructed directly on the ground, outside of a Compound, as opposed to within one. These buildings are accessed via the Self > Projects menu.

"Outside" is also the mysterious and unexplored place one may visit when one is not playing A Tale in the Desert. This is generally not recommended due to its relative scarcity of slate.
