Airship Flotilla Fun Flight

Event Summary

We had four flyers turn out their best airships: Ella, Kalmkitty, Rana and Zhukuram.

Prevailing winds were westward from the RP Nile River bridge, the flight took off and headed out to the desert.

We had some strong cross winds and vortexs as we cleared the green fields and floated over the desert. Head winds were challenging to overcome as we passed over the new pyramid constuction site in RP. We caught a bit of a tail wind as we crossed over the mountain ridge to land at the U Body in RP.

The U Body in RP, is surrounded by a ring moat and the flyers had to be careful how they landed. Small ground fireworks acted as landing flares to guide the flyers to a safe landing. Kalmkitty landed right inside the UBody for some fantastic flying.

BIG fireworks greeted the flyers on landing as well as WOOTS for a fun outting.

Thanks for all who came out and for the cheers and waves from folks below as we passed overhead!

Come on out for a Holiday Fun Flotilla Flight. Just to get the moths out of the Airship and have some good times in Egypt.

We will meet at the Nile River Crossing in River Plains (near the CS) and will follow the wind whichever way it's blowing on take off time. We will fly for 1 hour and land at the nearest landmark.

Spectators can run along the river side to watch the bumping and colliding as the airships bumble their way along the river.

Please come an unpack your ships early so they can be admired by all.

Vol Flottille de Plaisir.

Venez participer dans un vol flottille de plaisir. Juste pour enlever les papillons de la Airship et avoir de bons moments en Egypte.

Propriétaires Airship se réunira sur le Nil plaines de la rivière CS. Nous suivrons le vent de quelque côté que le vent souffle au décollage du temps. Nous allons flotter le long du Nil pendant 1 heure.
