An Serpent Cocktail is made in a Kitchen equipped with a Grain Mortar. The Chemistry Recipe - Speed of the Serpent is also required.

Use

When consumed, this beverage will give you a free Waypoint.

Drinking the cocktail causes permanent harm. Anyone who drinks it must then consume a glass of cabbage juice once every 28 days, or die. Death is permanent. Subsequent drinks reduce the time between cabbage juice drinks by a decreasing amount:

   Shot 1 = 28 days to death
   Shot 2 - 22 = 1 day less per shot, down to 7 days
   Shot 23 - 30 = 12 hours less per shot, down to 3 days
   Shot 31 - 33 = 8 hours less per shot, down to 2 days
   Shot 34 - 39 = 4 hours less per shot, down to 1 day 

You are warned of this before you drink the cocktail, and you will be reminded of the need to drink cabbage juice.

The Cure

In T1, there was a cure.

• Just for interest, the second victim (narkho, who died by accident due to being unable to log in) reported:

  <narkhoII> ok, i just tried, it says 'your character has died' if i try to use narkho

• Example of original system message:

• Example of system message after body count added:

  Scientists at the Great University of the Human Body announce: There has been a death.
  M:Aewl has succumbed to the effects of the Speed of the Serpent. Our experiments with
  the blood serum of victims lead us to believe that there may be eventually be treatment.
  We have collected serum from 10 victims.

• Example of system message after remaining body count added:

  Scientists at the Great University of the Human Body announce: There has been a death.
  F:BushPig has succumbed to the effects of the Speed of the Serpent. We have now collected
  16 vials of serum from those who have died of Speed of the Serpent. With another 8 we
  expect a cure.

(Volunteers are sought for this important medical experiment. Remember, it's for the good of Egypt!)
