BASTET Demi Pharaoh Debate May 16, 2010

Set: ---DP Debate is Starting Very Shortly! Please get out non-DP related chats now if you can and get your questions ready!--- Set: Candidates I'd like you to think of some questions too that you would like your fellow candidates to answer tehm: Just a reminder before the debate starts - although I am a candidate for DP, I do not think it is prudent for me to become a DP at this time. Please do not elect me! Thank you for understanding Set: Welcome everyone to the DP Debate for the election of our 3rd DP on Bastet! <inserts cheers and confetti> Set: We will be taking questions from the listening audience (but if there are several on the same topic I may amalgamate them into one question that covers the topic broadly). As usual the debate is only as good as the questions you provide so let's dig in shall we? To submit a question just chat it directly to B! I'm Set and I'll be your moderator today Set: Candidates let's start with an easy pitch, for those who may not have had any dealings with you, what keeps you here in ATITD, what do you love about the game, and what lead you to pursue becoming DP? Amethyst: Hi. My name is Amethyst and it's been two months since my last DP election. I cannot help myself - I don't think there's any chance I can give them up. So if I'm not elected, I will just have to come back again and again. I need your support, people of Egypt, to stop this terrible addiction. Xspell: Hi everyone. Well I am a Tale veteran, having played since T1. Up until this shard however, I have pretty much kept myself to myself. Something about this shard though appeals to me more than the other Tales. Maybe its the smaller player base. Because of this I have bacome much more involved in all aspects of the game, inluding getting the urge to become DP Amethyst: For those who haven't had dealings with me: and there may be a few out there at the moment because this isn't my normal playing time, I love that every day I get to do something new! I've been getting into pretty much every part of the game and, exhausting as it is, it's been a blast. Amethyst: I think I can carry this enthusiasm over into the role of DP - and i have a lot more ideas about what a DP can do than I had in the last debate. (Ask me! Ask me!) XD Draim: Howdy all!, For those who don't know me I'm Draim (my alt is Jamesofur). I like alot of things about the game, the tests and most importantly the community. I think the social nature of the game IS the game in alot of ways and without it we all fail :). I also love to see the game thrive and love to see things work out, helping both new and old people. This is something of course I can do without being DP and in alot of ways what I do as a player won't change much as a DP but I do think that it is helpful to get the community support that getting elected DP brings. The tools are there, but imo they are by far a small portion o fthe job (though I have a law expanding them a bit, ask me :) ) Corisa: I stay here mainly because of the people I have met in the game. I find that you get much more involved with getting to know each other in ATITD then I have experienced before. there is a real sense of neighborliness here. It's nice to be put into a situation where it is necessary to help each other as I find it happens less and less in real life. What keeps me here right now is resreach, our community is much smaller then in previous tales and the challenge of having the regions work together up the tech tree is rewarding and fascinating at the same time. As far as being a DP goes, at first I saw it as a challenge but now I see it as an opportunity to help bring even more Egyptians together in whatever they may be working on, whether it be events, tests or research. Corisa: BTW my name is Corisa, some of you know me from my weekly research contest which helps funnel resources into opening technology all over Egypt. Some don't know me at all and that is what I am trying to fix :). Set: Thanks candidates! I have had a listener question from Kloisen and 2 of the candidates (Amethyst and Draim) have brought up "ideas of what a DP can do" and a law that will change the role of DP... Candidates, what do you feel should be changed about the role of DP. If it should be changed why is that? Amethyst: My idea doesn't have all that much to do with changing the *role* of a DP. I support Draim's law for extra DP powers, I think that being able to freeze a character while you sort out a fight would be incredibly helpful (as I said in the very first DP debate!). My ideas are more about what a DP might be able to achieve, having the mandate of the people. Amethyst: The ability to ban is a given. We know a DP can do that, but this shard has some problems, due to the low population, that the other shard doesn't have. There is a feeling among many players that Teppy isn't listening to our concerns. tehm had a code of conduct petition to try and force Teppy to come for a chat. Amethyst: I believe that a DP would have a case for collaring Teppy when he gets on and representing views of the people of Egypt. Having the trust of the people could also extend to this role as spokesperson and advocate. There are all sorts of things from having to get over 10% of our entire population to vote on EVERY beetle garden to the sorts of problems that not having a Welcome Island is causing, that really need to be taken up. Corisa: I would love to see DP as more of a leadership role then it is. Right now it seems to be a figurehead position with the exception of bans, although there appears to be an element of mediation between parties in a dispute which would be a good thing. I would like DP to be more of a voice of the people and a person that could have the ear of Teppy and the GMS to try and relay the desires of Egypt itself. Xspell: As a DP I would like to think there would be a way that I could act as a voice for the people concerning the big problems at the time. Whether it is me or whoever is DP I think should then be given a regular time to chat with the Devs and/or Teppy to pass on the criticisms, questions and so forth. Like the laws being implemented for example. Draim: As I said I think the vast majority (90-98%) of the job of a DP has nothing to do with having any powers. You are a mediator/leader/community member and while most of that (all) can be done without being DP you do get some of a community mandate which can help when you are trying to work thinks out. (I get alot of enjoyment just making sure it works out ;) ) Draim: The tool thing however is of course not nonexistent. The ban does two things, it allows you to have a (often unspoken) threat for troublemakers and it allows you obviously to use it if something gets out of yoru control. Draim: In the end though a Ban is harsh, its a last minute deal (not all for nothing we do have temp bans but a last minute deal). My law would expand that some (like amethyst said) allowing a dp to "arrest" someone for at most a couple hours limiting them to only talking to the DP and someone the DP allows them to (no activity with anything else in game). Draim: That being said, even with expanded powers a DP is still more of a community leader then anything else. I don't totally see it as someone who has more power with the developers (I feel like people in all tales say that and it doesn't end up totally true) but they are leaders and at some level they will often be the go betweens between the devs since that makes it much easier for both sides. It also allows them to open up discussion and debate easier and help guide people through tough decisions and times. Xspell: It seems we are all of the same opinion here, hte problem still lies with getting the Devs and Teppy to agree and listen :P Set: Thanks everyone, here's a listener question coming down the pipe! ruan: Under what circumstances would you permanently ban someone from the game? Would you be able to ban someone if you thought the circumstances warranted it? Last weekend a couple of griefers (here for the free weekend) were interrupting a dig. Would you have banned them? Xspell: I would be able to ban someone, certainly. The circumstances would have to be quite severe. The griefers that returned last weekend would have been banned the first time they were here if I was DP then. They were guilty of stealing at the time and on more than one occasion. Corisa: If the circumstances warranted a ban I would absolutely do it. That being said, i do believe that the situation has to be looked at from all sides. I expect the other candidates here will say much the same thing. would I have banned your griefers, i think it depends on how much the were harrassing the situation and for how long. During the beginning of the shard we had situations like that and we simply overcame the problem. If no other solution could be found though, yes I would. Corisa: I would ban a person who is interested in only doing harm to another person. This game takes both money and time to play, to have to put up with constant harrassment is unfair. I for one work and have a family so the time I spend here is my free time, to allow someone to spoil that over and over, I would absolutely ask for a ban and hope I got one. Amethyst: Second question first: if I thought circumstances warranted, yes I would ban. At the free weekend, no I wouldn't have used the bans, because it doesn't make sense to ban an account that isn't even paid. They were gone in a few hours anyway. In my first debate, I expressed some sympathy with the way Geodude brought up problems with game mechanics and social situations - but i also said that he does his mean trick and then moves on. This was same old boring stuff, and if his account had been paid, I would have been considering a ban. Draim: Lets be honest, even for most "griefing" times a ban is not helpful. In the end would I ban someone if there was no other option? yea of course I would, and there has been at least one person this tale who I think would have gotten it (and actually it was decided to do so but they never logged back on). That being said I will basically always try and talk with them first, work with them and see what the issue is. The honest fact is that it is almost never black and white, and anyone who tells you otherwise is wrong. Draim: Even when you don't think they'd talk it can be helpful, I ended up talking with geodude for at least 2 hours earlier (before he quit) and it was a very interesting conversation. Would I have banned the dig griefiers on the free weekend? I don't know, there is a good chance I wouldn't to be honest. Why should I ban someone who is litterly begging for one and use up a ban just to make HIM happy (and probably not make us happy since it's a free weekend and he could just log into another old alt or (Ibelieve) a new character and do it again. Draim: The only benefit that makes that a bit better (especially when it isn't a free weekend) that I was told recently that Teppy has decided he would ban someone himself if a DP bans them twice (so the player gets ban not the character at that level) which is very helpful and changes that dynamic beyond say what I and others were saying in the first DP election. Of course I'm saying this without having actually been at the dig (or for that matter heard many people talk to me about it) so I wouldn't be able to say for sure on that specific incident, just in general. There are times when I would ban regardless of other factors especially if the harrasment is bad enough (for that matter there are a couple cases I can think of where I would probably ban without even talking much, a username specifically targeting someone or a group for example, sorry I just can't stand that and it gets to a bad point pretty quickly Set: Thanks candidates, another listener question comin' at ya! Emmy: to be honest, am bored of questions on bans, considering since i've been playing tale i haven't heard of anyone being banned, what i want to hear is something about the people themselves, what the are doing in game or, what sort of things they enjoy? Draim: Thank you Emmy :) I can understand why people can want to focus on bans (alot of people, especially new players see them as very scarry) but they do get frustrating at times to answer the questions. I love alot of things about the game. My personal goal this year is Oracle of Architecture though I may point myself as High as I can get in worship and maybe harmony as well. I also really enjoy helping people, I honeslty get alot of enjoyment with helping things work out and trying to find middle ground for people which I think is a big reason I lwant to be DP in the end, It can be stressful but I honestly get alot of game enjoyment out of doing it even when it takes time away from other things in the game. Xspell: Good question Emmy, In game I am currently making and drinking wine. I have recently started an Adn guild for our regional projects, currently working on a Conflict Shrine (I know we are slightly behind the times in Adn). In RL I am currently making and drinking wine :) Corisa: I like this question. In the game I work with people that are interested in researching technology, finding out the tree they are working on, setting up a weekly contest to compliment those desires. A guildmate set up small warehouses in a lot of the regions to help doantions go easier from region to region and we have a small team that makes sure those resources get where they belong. I like to think this has helped get techs open in places where they would not have, helped get us along in a timely manner and really helped me get to know people in game I would not have otherwise which is a lot of fun. I enjoy running digs when local people ask for them, help new players when and however I can. And I have a personal mission to get everyone lilies to make them smile :). Amethyst: Emmy, thanks for that question. I actually spend most of the DP rounds chatting abot stuff like this, because it tells you so much more about people than their political platform ever can! As I said earlier, I'm enjoying just about everything this Tale has offered. On the weekend I built stuff, I got a tattoo, I put a beetle in Sinai garden (only 3 spots left, get yer beetles in!). I'm still enjoying the game so much because when one thing becomes frustrating, I try out something else and come back to the frustrating thing later. Amethyst: I've also been managing to balance the game with what I do in RL - watching the game tick by while I study or play guitar, or whatever... It gives my brain something to fill in the quiet gaps, as well as generating lots of small goals and things to think about. Set: Next question is from Savag! Savag: Recently there has been much discussion about the offering of decrees for material goods and blocking it from modded channels. Im interested in your positions on if you would be for censorship or against when it would be a private transaction. Xspell: I dont agree with selling Decrees and as most of us a channel mods it is a goodpoint to raise. Personally I would block the trade via the channel I am modding in just the same way I would block the location of a cicada cage if it was called. Corisa: I honestly view the buying and selling of decrees as a shameul thing. If passing that test or principle is that important to you, find yourself a new player and help them. The game is not easy for new players and there is so much to it that truly new people do not know, directing them to the wiki and buying thier decrees just negates all the benefits of that challenge for both parties. Would I support censoring those messages? yes. What people do privately is thier own business but I cannot say i agree with it at all. Amethyst: Well, for starters, that's not an issue a DP has any power over - that's up to the B! mods elders. Fortunately, I'm a B! mod. elder too, so can answer. There has been some (sometimes heated) discussion about whether this policy should be implemented. For me personally... and I am NOT speaking on behalf of the B! mod guild here... I don't see a problem with decree trading. Amethyst: If you have someone buying decrees, having the discussion out in the open lets us all know who is buying and who is getting their decrees in the 'proper' way. There are many new characters who are eligible for decrees, but weren't mentored because they are mules or... well... just weren't mentored. I feel it's pretty much up to them to decided what to do with their own stuff. Amethyst: If they've been mentored, then they should be encouraged to give decrees to those who have helped, but we can't force them to do so. I realise that being able to advertise gives the transaction some veneer of legitimacy - I don't think that sticking our heads in the sand that it's happening is the answer to that. I think that, rather, people can express their disagreement to the people who are buying/selling. Draim: well my position is a little multifaceted :) I personally think it's bad, It bothers me to no end when I see it (specfically about decrees) because I think it asks to take advantage of new players (especially when they do not realize the worth of the decrees especially when what the mats traded are usually very low level and VERY easy for the experienced player) it can end up hurting all of us in the end Draim: On the censorship side: These are moderated boards, in alot of ways my response to "censorship! censorship" is don't use the moderated board then. I have absoultely no problem with another mod (yes I'm one as well) deciding not to post it if they do not feel comfortable doing so and I will support them to the death in doing so. If the guild as a whole decides we should ALL do it.. I would probably reject them as well but in general if I have leeway in the matter (and we usually do as modss just like we do for swears for example) Draim: I would probably end up letting them through, if you want to do it (and in my opinion show that you are doing things I think are very wrong) a good part of me wants everyone to SEE you doing it since I think the shame in that sense is the only way it will stop if we ever have a chance to do that, when it's posted in Bazzar or B! it can easily start a conversation Draim: and conversation is good :) Set: Ok up next, a question from DarkStar DarkStar: Where do you se bottlenecks in this shard occurring fromt he smaller player base, and as a DP, what do you think YOU could do about it? (remembering that Teppy will implement ideas on how to solve such issues, but may not respond to just moaning tha something is stuck if he has to think up the solutions himself) Xspell: I am not sure that there is a lot that a DP would be able to do about such problems. Except for maybe organise events such as acro parties and the like that may help us work through the bottlenecks. Although this is something that could be done DP or not. Draim: what can I do about it? absolutely nothing you can't do about it. I know I said that in my opening but that's honestly how I feel, Being DP does not in any way make it so Teppy or the GMs listen to me more. That being said I would do what I always do, if I see a problem I think about it, I try to explain the problem (generally through Ast or another GM first) and if I need too I'll do a dev call, I already have 3 of his tabs on my board for my own information (ok 2 of them are for insurance to prove he approved my law) Draim: I do agree that bottlenecks can be harsher though for our shard and it is not inapprorpriate to point out where it is going to be a very very long time (<cough> acro </cough>) That being said SOME bottlenecks aren't bad at all, lets things settle down for a bit :) In the end I'm not sure being DP would help much but there is no doubt I would be passing along info I had either from my own thinking (and my own ideas) and other peoples ideas/complaints. I have no problem stealing (with attribution) great ideas from others :) Amethyst: Darkstar, by becoming DP a player has demonstrated that they have the trust of the playerbase. I feel that this gives them an edge to say, hey Teppy I know you're busy, but the players really want you to look at these here issues and they've demonstrated that they trust me enough to represent them. Amethyst: Teppy has already put in band-aids to ease bottlenecks. Silver, acro. I'd be agitating for Teppy to open the Welcome Island, because it just makes me sad when I log in in the morning and see that some newbie has been dropped in Nomad's Paradise after I've gone to bed. I'm told that this also will help the modded channels because on main shard they locate the mics there to make it easier for all to access. Amethyst: I can also see a bottleneck with the beetle gardens - both getting enough beetles to fill them and getting enough votes for them. This test was designed for a shard where the population was at minimum 1200 - we have only 1/3 of that. So we need over 10% of our entire population to come out every single time to vote on each garden. It's just not going to happen. Amethyst: I would hope that players feel that a DP would act as one of 'their own' and be a force to change things. Corisa: i think if it is a true bottleneck, Teppy will indeed step in (silver flakes). There are bound to be bottlenecks that are solvable from time to time with the small population. I have tried to help over come that by spreading research to different areas and bringing us together instead of competeing. Some thing sdo have to be opened in all areas to work the way we want them to, flowers, vines etc and I have been doing my best to keep those going. Also encouraging the regions to trade off on technology, has helped a lot. I do worry that the gang in SA might be fed up with mining, and I am trying to encourage others to help them with those endeavours. Also, recently my husband and I moved from our private home to living on guild and the difference in our game is tremendous..really encouraging players both new and old to give it a try. We find it allows us to spend more of our time in game doing things that are group based rather then private as we are not spending all our time stocking up on things only for us. Set: Thanks candidates! I asked the candidates themselves to come up with questions they want their fellow candidates to answer, so here is one of those (you have to answer it too Xspell!) Xspell: I would just like to ask the other candidates, as I know people are keen to know, is everyone looking to stay around and play actively for at least the foreseeable future? Corisa: My plans are to see this shard to the very end. I am enjoying every problem that surfaces and wracking my brain to help solve each of them as they occur. I have logged on every single day since day one, whether it be for five minutes or 8 hours and that is not about to change come what may. Xspell: I will certainly be here for a long while to come. I am progressing well through the tests, have a great community and friends around and will be happy to see this shard to the end. Amethyst: Xspell, I'm an active player and, although I pull back a little when I have assignments coming due, I log in every day. I plan to keep logging in, keep building silly big projects, keep talking people's ears off for a long time yet :) Draim: I'm sure people have seen the shiny chat bubble I use not infrequently so you may know I have a year prepaid already. I FULLY intend to see this tale through to the finish partilly because I really want to be in on the monument design/building. I also intend to be here for next tale at least for now :) I will of course go through cycles of too much work etc (I just graduated college this morning and am very close to a new job, though the job will allow me to still play :) ) Draim: in the end, yes! :) Set: I'm sure I speak for all the listeners when I say, Congratulations on Graduating Draim :) Set: Another listener question folks, this time from Salama Salama: Do you think DP is elected based on Popularity, or based on who you are as candidates? Why? Draim: thank you :) Draim: well.... does both work? There is definitly some "popularity" involved but that isn't all bad. I know at times I worry it is ALL popularity but it HAS to be on trust. As much as we hate talking about bans bans bans you are voting for someone who has the power to take away all the hard work you've done and so you need to trust them and it is very hard to trust them if you don't know them at some level and so popularity quite legitimately comes into that in that case. Beyond that though I also hope that people look at the candidates and decide who is the best of the best (or the best of the trusted) and I think that happens most of the time (though not always ) Xspell: I think one goes with the other, if you are involved in the community and helping and talking to people you will become popular and also be recognised as a good candidate for DP Xspell: I personally was not as well known as most here when I started this shard. I am trying to alter that by being more inolved in Egypt as a whole and in turn I hope you all are recognising what a great DP I would make :) Corisa: I don't think Dp is selected on so much popularity as by setting an example. If people know you and see where your work is taking the game they come to trust you and it gives them an idea as to who they would like to see as DP. I know that in the past I have voted for the people that I trust. Amethyst: How long is a piece of string? I think every voter will have different reasons for voting the way they do. Often it comes down to who they know, which of the candidates they've seen around doing things. Which candidates seem active, and, yes, which are popular. I think there's even some possibility that people will predict who they think is most popular for Kingmaker and then vote for that person to enhance their chances of that prediction being fulfilled! Set: Thanks all, here's another question from one of the candidates :) Amethyst: Question for the other candidates: What do you think the strengths and weaknesses of your opponents are? Set: (P.S. At this moment the board is devoid of listener and candidate submitted questions if anything hasn't been touched on, bring it up now people) :) Corisa: i could not begin to answer that question without knowing my opponents better. I think they are all good people and interested in trying to better this game for all of us. there is not a person here I would say anything bad about. With the exception that I don't really see this as being an appropriate question. Xspell: We are lucky to have a good selection of strong candidates here to choose from for DP. I personally would really like to see Ameythst or myself go through so those of us in the Euro/Oz timezone will see the benefits of a DP Draim: ./me dances around the question Amethyst: Thank you Amethyst, that's a very interesting question. When I first saw the list of opponents I knew this was going to be a HUGE race. Draim, of course, came so incredibly close in the last DP election, I think most of us others are a bit... well... how can we possilbly beat that? I think ALL my opponents would make terrific DPs. Amethyst: Corisa has put in so incredibly incredibly much work toward research - not just in Stillwater, but all over Egypt. She's done this consistently and used competitions to get others involved. I think her only weakness is not really being known for outside of Stillwater for anything other than research. Amethyst: I've been very interested in Draim's forays into lawmaking and have helped discuss and formulate laws with him. But, I'm wondering if he's been logging in lately as much as we'd like to see a DP around - especially considering that DPs # 1 and 2 are pretty much MIA. Xspell: Draim has too many bad things to say about us it seems :) Amethyst: Xspell is also accomplished and level headed and I've enjoyed talking to him so much! I think it'd be terrific to have a DP from an alternative time zone. Draim: I have to agree with Corisa it's very hard for me to do this (easier to give you MY weaknesses ;) ) All of the candidates do very very good work, some may not be as well known as the others but is that really a weakness? They all definitly have strengths that are far and above mine. I do worry at times that Amethyst will burn herself out but then again people worry about that to me and I brush them aside sooo ;) Sadly Amethyst is the one I know the most so thats the worst I can really say atm :) Draim: ./me will of course defend himself that he just graduated from college ;) (hence why it's been a tough 2 weeks :) ) over now though! :) Corisa: As an addition to amethysts questions I would be interested to know what each candidate sees as thier own weakness. Momra: ok - turn the quesion around - what do each of you see as your own strengths and weaknesses? Draim: well that's a bit easier :) Amethyst: My weaknesses... :D I tend to be outspoken and, at times, abrupt. This rubs people up the wrong way, and I realise that I have a reputation for annoyance as much as I have one for awesomeness. Strengths? I am the Energizer Bunny! (I dunno if you get that ad. elsewhere, but it's a toy bunny with an Energizer battery up it's butt that just keeps on going and going and going) Xspell: My strengths are, actively playing on a regular basis each day. Being level headed and down to earth, easy to talk to and willing to help and listen. My biggest weakness is losing the ability to type after the 3rd glass of wine. :) Corisa: My strength is two fold, I have dedication to the game and have surrounded myself with like minded individual each with thier own strength, when a problem arises I know I can turn to them to help me sort through difficult problems. They help me organise my thoughts and actions and even give me some time to hunt for ciccadas or fish occaisionally :). My weakness..I have to admit is my temper. I do tend to get upset from time to time but when it happens I just walk away for an hour, do a load of dishes and come back feeling calm and ready to tackle the problem. Draim: Stregths: I love to help people, I don't mind the stress and the work involved when I'm trying to make someone elses game experience better, in the end it makes the game better for me and more fun for all of us in my opinion. I think I can focus on jobs I want to do and get them done and organize them quite nicely Draim: Weaknesses: One huge one is that I can at times bite off more projects then I can do promptly, I think I usually get them all done well but sometimes not at a speed that others would prefer. I also tend to always work on trying to smooth things over, I know I can be abrupt when needed but I sometimes take a bit longer to get to an "end point" then others do because I want to keep figuring out the WHOLE story and this can bother people at times. That being said I don't feel bad for people who keep doing their problematic behavior after we've started talking. Set: Thanks everyone, next up, Emmy wants the mic again, and who am I to argue? Emmy: so why is being a dp so important, surely apart from the bans, every thing else like mediation etc, can be done without you being a dp? Draim: Usually once we start it may take a while but the problem isn't "happening" anymore so you can afford it (it is very hard to get mad at someone who is talking to you calmly) but if they do? it isn't going to take that long. Draim: Emmy: yes, it isn't imporant you can do 99% without the role Set: (Disjointed Draim response is mod's fault, sorry) :) Xspell: That is correct but how else are we going to pander to our egos? Corisa: Emmy, you are right, I have worked at my projects until now without being a DP and will continue to do so whether I win over Egypt or not. it is my hope that if I am elected more people will get to know who I am and trust me with thier donations and maybe get more involved with research and working together. Amethyst: Emmy, there is plenty that can be done without being DP - and I've been working on all those things. As I said before, I'll be using DP as an excuse to directly approach Teppy. I know this can be done as not DP - but I think that having demonstrated the trust of the people can potentially give me an edge. I think that being DP also helps with mediation. Set: Thank you candidates, next up Draim has a question you all can answer Draim: Question for the candidates: Does anyone else have your password who would be able to log into your account (and hence have access to the tools and the character) (not spouselog since that doesn't have access to ban) Corisa: Not a single person. Xspell: Nope, noone else has my password or access to my account Amethyst: Yes Draim. My partner of 10 years, who plays Gday, also has access to my password. Set: Draim has to answer too! ;D Emmy: remember spouses can ban, well could in t3 Set: I don't think that's supposed to be the case now Emmy Set: at least not when you use spouselog Nitocris: anyone that can log on to a DP account could ban a player Emmy: it was when i was a dp in t3, it might have changed, but don't think so Nitocris: has not changed Draim: at least teppy has SAID a spouselogged character can not ban. I haven't tested it obviously Set: While we wait for Draim's answer, I'd like to have the candidates start wrapping up. Please share with us anything you'd like to summarize your views and what you'd like the voters to think about when they go to cast their vote Draim: on my part no one else has the password for either of my accounts (someone occasionally plays James with me but I always log him in) Corisa: If you were to assume they could, Modesix is my spouse..and since I can beat him up I don't think he would ever dare to try such a thing. Set: If someone is a DP on the other shard maybe you can test that and get back to us ;D Xspell: VOTE for XSPELL! Your no-nonsense, straight talkiing, Euro timezone candidate from Adn that is willing to listen and help whenever I can. Amethyst: In summary, whoever you vote for, please just go out and vote. All the candidates here are super people, and I wish them all luck. It's 5am here and I have to start getting kids out of bed and ready for school, but if anyone wants to chat or ask more questions, I encourage you to send me a /chat Amethyst: oh not 5am... that's when it started, it's 7am now XD Nitocris: i have access to DR account but i would npot use Nitocris: it is not allowed Corisa: All i can think to say is voting for me is a vote for continuing to try and bring together this small population, for encouraging people to work smarter, not harder,. I am always here according to my husband, always ready to listen and help in any way I can. Happy voting Egypt :). Amethyst: Thank you Egypt for tuning in! Draim: Obviously I would like you to vote for me and I think I would be a great candidate but in the end you should vote for who you think would be the best for the job, we will always have another election and more will get in. If you have questions on the voting system remember to ask in B! I know alot of people can help explain it. Also, remember to take things into your own hands as well, if you don't like something say so, say it in B! say it to a DP say it to a GM or Dev (Teppy doesn't mind dev calls believe me) jand if you want something to happen start lookin gfor help ! :) tehm: Hi all, although I should not be elected DP right now, I do still want to help Egypt. Please read my ballot measure asking Teppy to pay more attention to us (in my /info) and if you can sign, I am AFK at the Shabbat Ab CS. Thank you!
