Welcome to Egypt
Your "Welcome to Egypt" tab in the lower left hand corner of the screen shows the tasks you must complete in order to become a full Citizen of Egypt.
- Gather Slate near a shoreline
- Learn Stone Blade Fabrication (School of Architecture) (cost 7 slate)
- Make a Stone Blade (Skills Menu)
- Gather Wood from a Tree
- Learn Carpentry (School of Architecture) (cost 3 stone blades)
- Build a Wood Plane (Projects Menu)
- Make Boards using a Wood Plane
- Learn Brick Rack Construction (School of Architecture) (cost 4 boards)
- Build a Brick Rack (Projects Menu)
- Gather Sand
- Gather Mud near a Shoreline
- Gather Grass
- Dry Grass into Straw (Drop menu)
- Make Bricks using a Brick Rack
- Get Flax Seeds from a School of Art and Music
- Plant Flax Seeds
- Let the Flax Bed go wild, and harvest Seeds
- Weed a flax bed several times and harvest the Flax
- Learn Flax Processing (School of Art and Music) (cost 20 flax)
- Rot flax in the water
- Take Rotten Flax from the water
- Gather Thorns (click on plants to find a species that has thorns)
- Build a Flax Comb - Costs
- Process flax on a flax comb until you get Tow

- Build a Small Distaff
- Spin Tow into Twine
- Clean up by tearing down your Wood Plane
The following tasks are also required on the original shard, but not (yet) on Bastet:

Problems Getting Citizenship
(Only on original shard)
It is possible to leave the starting island without actually getting citizenship. That happens if you don't complete one of the required tasks. You can complete all of these tasks even on the mainland. So if you didn't clean up a wood plane - just a build a new one and clean it up. As soon as all the tasks are marked as "Done" you will get citizenship.
