This page is about the Stillwater Vintner's and Brewers Guild [sic]. We are located at 1623, 3579, south of the Stillwater chariot, near the SBody. We have three main goals. THIS PAGE IS A WORK IN PROGRESS RIGHT NOW. MORE TO COME TOMORROW.

  1. Assist players new to brewing and making wine in getting started by providing basic facilities, and lots of friendly help and advice.
  2. Provide a means for people to share information (such as flavor spots and yeast spots), as well as trade grapes, beers, wines, etc.
  3. Run tasting events for members of the guild and the Stillwater community

Facilities

The guild hall is the only facility right now, but we hope to grow quickly. We need to make three main things.

  1. Tasting tables (4 to start)
  2. Wine barrels for guild wines (see below)
  3. Basic facilities needed to make tools for wine and beer
    1. Glazier's bench for empty bottles
    2. Barrel vise for small barrels
    3. Forges (4 with nail mould, 1 with pinch rollers) for nails and copper straps for barrels
    4. Master casting box (1)
    5. Reactory for brass

Of course, the first facility needed is a compound to fit all these things in. Construction on that will start very soon, and donations will be helpful.

Events

We will start with two main types of events: tastings for members and the public, and "fun blends". We will do one or more tastings every vintage, both of member's wines and guild wines. We will also do "fun blends", where members will each bring 21 grapes from one of their vineyards, we'll mix them together, and taste when the wines hit vintage 3. Other types of events will follow, and we're always open to new ideas.

Guild wines

One of our goals is to help members fill their wine notebooks. To this end, several of the barrels will be devoted to fermenting long-term wines (like 14%) for the higher end notebooks. Guild members will be asked to contribute grapes, and anyone who contribute will be entitled to enough wines to fill the more esoteric requirements.
