Tow consists of coarse fibers produced from flax processing. It is primarily used to spin into twine (and then into canvas or rope).
Source
Obtained by raking rotten flax on a Flax Comb or a Hackling Rake. Tow is the second byproduct of rotten flax (along with lint and straw).
Uses
- Used for compound expansion.
- Spun in a Small Distaff or Large Distaff, produces 3 Twine per 1 tow.
