Where Small Construction Site



Overview

Steam Silt Collectors can only be built on a clay patch near a silt generator. If you try to build and get the message "You aren't near a good source of clay" then disassemble the construction site, move a few feet toward the center of the silt patch, and try to build again.

The run interval is random, it will suddenly stop with no message and need repair - Zotep


After running, machine stopped with 9000 silt 26 flint and used 91 wood. Repair costs are 5x; 5 iron medium gear, 20 brass small gear, 25 bolt, 30 washer. See what happens after next run. -Tigras.

In my experience it increments every other time - DonQuiHotep
After adding a 7.9k spring box, repair costs seem to have gone down, run time has decreased but silt collection has increased.
So far three runs have broken  before 11 wood was consumed. repair cost on 2 breakdowns were 2/3 of what the last repair w/o the spring box.
The 3rd breakdown had the lowest possible repair cost. (1 med gear, 4 smalls, 5 bolts, 6 washers - DonQuiHotep

Use

Load it with up to 500 wood Gathers 40 silt per teppy minute, eats 1 wood every 5 minutes. Mine gathers 60 silt per Pluri min - TheMazeEcho Also seems to pick up some flint now and then at random.
