Festival of Thoth

To please Thoth, sacrifice an ambrosia made from a specific (12 percent alcohol, 2 vintage old) wine and ink at an altar surrounded by 21 scampering beetles.

Determining Requirements

Directions presume you are facing the statue

1. Person A puts Papyrus Paper on the right pillar
2. Person B puts Papyrus Paper on the left pillar
3. Person A puts a Candle on the right focus

Preparations

Beetles

Find any beetle breeder for ample spares.

Dropped beetles disappear in roughly 3-4 minutes. Since it can take a minute or two just to pick them all up, it would be wise not to drop any you are afraid to lose. Keep a few extras on hand as well.

For humor value after the festival, turn the beetles into bags (self->utility->make nearby portables look like bags). They still behave as normal beetles; only the way the client renders them changes.

Ambrosia

In addition to being your randomly selected flavor, the wine must be at least two vintages old and contain at least 12% alcohol.

• "12% alcohol" means that the wine has to be made with grapes that have at least 12 Residual Sugar (though this is the bare minimum and would take a long time to ferment in the barrel).
• "Vintage" refers to the in-game season during which the grapes were harvested. The vintage changes roughly every 10 real-life days.

Like the beers in other festival types, the wine may contain extra flavors. For example, "Hazelnut Apple Raspberry" wine would satisfy a "Hazelnut" requirement.

Please note: making your own wine at the last minute is not possible because of the aging necessary to meet the requirements (about a month to make the wine and age it long enough for the vintage requirement and up to three months of aging for some flavors).

Ambrosia is made at a kitchen with the Ambrosia Brewing skill. Thoth ambrosias require 1 ink and 1 bottle of wine and take 10 minutes.

Procedure

1. Drop (at least) 21 beetles by the altar.
2. Click on the altar and sacrifice your ambrosia before the beetles disappear.
3. Pick up the beetles for next time (or let them escape if you have lots spare).
