So you've made it this far that's great! Now you are ready to learn about what happens after you've waited soooo long to get the wine out of the barrel.
Wine 201
Now I realize your excited and really want to bottle your wine but there are a few things left to do before you bottle it and drink it.
Stage 4
1. Get a notebook or create a wiki page to help track the various details of the flavors and qualities at each vintage. This will help you track down specific flavors to help fulfill various wine requirements for furture things.
2. Now you want to siphon a barrel sample to get some information.
3. Write down the following:
- Name
- Alcohol %
- Residual Sugar
- Tannin
- Acid
4. Now your finally ready to bottle the wine! I know I know it's about time.
Stage 5
You are almost ready to drink up and taste the final fruits of your labor. But not quite yet.
1. To find the full array of flavors you need to drink an entire bottle of wine every vintage.
- This will be much easier once we have the ability to make real wine glasses so my advice is to drink 1 bottle and take 9 bottles and set them aside from each set of vineyards. (I'll cover drinking wine in the next stage)
2. Keep careful track of flavor(s), quality, and sweetness each vintage up to 10 (this is about when the flavors will stop changing in most wines)
Stage 6
This is the moment you've been waiting for. Drink til ya drop time, of course if you did well it won't take long for you drop. Prepare to spend more time peeling yourself off the ground than actually drinking! During this stage I'll go over the do's and don'ts of drinking.
1. NEVER drink from the same glass when drinking multiple glasses of the same bottle of wine.
- Different Quality glasses will reveal different flavors and give you multiple points in wine notebooks.
2. Ideally each wine table should have 7 glasses of different qualities:
- 9k
- 8k
- 7k
- 6k
- 5k
- 4k
- 3k
