Guilds/Sinai Projects/Deep Well
Sinai's Deep Well is located @ 3083, 4329.
There is a public hookah, water mine, chest, and a kitchen available on site.
Operations
Please make Elders aware of when you wish to use the Deep Well so that we can avoid scheduling conflicts. You won't be able to do a full wind if the deep well is already running. Send a chat to Vixsin, Phantasia, Dabbu, or severeus to check status.
The Petroleum Stockpile
We (Elders of Sinai Projects) will keep a large stock of Petroleum on site.
There will be two ways for anyone to get petroleum from these stocks. (See note on Public Use below if you are considering winding without taking from stocks)
1: By coming to the deep well and winding it to the tension needed to get your desired amount of petroleum.
- Chat an Elder and let them know when you plan to wind.
- Expect to have to repair the well when you arrive, the cost is 50 leather and 50 oil. Bring the leather with you, there is plenty of oil available on site.
- An example of this, if you want the full 600 petroleum from a full wind, you would come and wind the well to 100 tension. A guild elder will then set the well to private while the petroleum accumulates and will give you the 600 petroleum right then and there. Then we will just replace our stocks after the well has finished running 100 minutes later.
- This allows you to wind, get your petroleum and go back to whatever you want to do.
2: By trading any of the currently needed resources for the current research Sinai Projects is collecting for.
- Chat an Elder to set up the trade. It will be fairly decided on a case by case basis how much petroleum is given in exchange for the donation.
- Your donation will be stored in a shed on site until one of us takes it to the respective University for donation.
- The currently needed items will be listed on the Sinai Projects guild page
A Note on Public use
The Deep Well will also be available for Public use as long as it is not currently being used by someone.
If no Elders are available we cannot switch the well to private to protect the accumulations, so it is at your own risk in that case if you do not stick around to collect your petroleum and instead come back later. (it takes 100 minutes to run from a full wind).
As always, bring 50 leather and expect to have to repair the well when you arrive. There is plenty of oil available on site.
