Draft of Law:

Addition of a Demi-Pharaoh Trial by Jury Ability

This law will create an optional system of trial by jury to assist Demi-Pharaoh's in their decision to ban someone.

A trial by jury requires:

A set of 9 randomly chosen anonymous jurors, one or more Demi-Pharaoh's, the defence (the one who may be banned and those who wish to help defend), and the prosecutors or those who have asked for the trial to be held (one person or many).

What will be added by this law is:

1) The ability to call a trial by a Demi-Pharaoh, setting a time (which is changable), the defence, the prosectors, and the charges all of which is publically viewable by voting booth.

2) The ability of citizens to request a trial by submitting a petition to voting booths stating who, why, and the requested sentance. And the ability of the Demi-Pharaoh's to review/deny these petitions.

3) The ability of a Demi-Pharaoh to conduct a trial which includes:

  A) A jury of 9 people(no trial accounts) whom are chosen at random throughout all of egypt, those selected may deny being a juror at anytime before the trial at which point another will be selected.

  B) The manditory ability of the jurors names to remain anonymous so as to stifle bribery.

  C) The creation of private chat channels for the jurors, prosecution, and defence.

  D) A location everyone involved can transport to for free at the date of the trial, as well as those who wish to listen in, accessable by going to a voting booth.

  E) The ability for the juror's to vote formally (guilty or default of non-guilty) and the ability to change their vote until the Demi-Pharaoh who called the trial or the majority of the jury deems the trial to be over, at which point the votes will be tallyed and the outcome broadcast throughtout egypt.

• Note:

No actual power will be given or taken away from the Demi-Pharaoh's, this law just helps the Demi-Pharaoh's make an informed decision which they know egypt consents to, Demi-Pharaoh's by no means have to listen to the jury's vote.
