The Glenbard Guild Welcomes You To Egypt!
If you are a returning player, welcome back...if you are a new player you are in for a treat, this is a very "dense" game. Layers upon layers!
Hit "F3" for your map...you will quickly notice Egypt is *HUGE*. It would take hours to run East-to-West, over a day to run North-to-South.
In Egypt there are pockets of heavily-populated areas and even more wilderness...Glenbard is a recently-established mentoring guild working to grow a new population center. If you like to play and discover most of the knowledge yourself, this is a great place to "settle".
GLENBARD MISSION STATEMENT: A Tale In The Desert is structured into a series of "tales" which last over a real-time year or longer...periodically the goals of Pharaoh are met and a new telling begins and all players start with just the clothes on their back. Technologies are needed to be researched before the universities can offer the knowledge, civilization starts from scratch. The current "tale" is a bit past the halfway point...we are hoping to get a strong group of players together THIS telling so we can be an influential guild NEXT telling :)
If you would like to join Glenbard simply go to the Guild Hall located at -2406, 4118. Once you are accepted you will be able to use the Glenbard Resources. If you did not land in the guild area, to get here quickly choose a new starting point in your navigation menu. If Glenbard does not show up, just X-out and click the menu again for a new set of choices.
Ask any guild member for a CARE PACKAGE...it includes better flax seeds and other goodies to help you along. Flax seed note: Plant, do not weed = more seeds. Plant, weed = flax. Don't run out of seeds :)
The best way to get started is to complete the tasks to become a citizen, then do a "University Run" to all the universities to get all the free skills you can. Skills from schools costs materials.
After those two steps, there are a bazillion knowledge paths you can take in this game!
