Bonfire Tax Law
Petition by Tessiekins (54 signatures, 3 petitioners) Last Turned in 4 days ago with 54 Signatures. Legal Opinion: Bill
Bonfire Reduction Tax
WHEREAS bonfires serve a legitimate purposes for wood storage, every player can designate five "Protected" bonfires.** These "Protected" bonfires are not subject to the below provision.
WHEREAS minimum size bonfires have a negligible building cost; and
WHEREAS bonfires do not currently require maintenance; and
WHEREAS there is little incentive to tear down existing small bonfires; and
WHEREAS the number of small bonfires continues to increase; and
WHEREAS copious small bonfires have littered the Egyptian landscape; and
WHEREAS alternate means exist for marking important places (collapsed quarries, etc;) and
WHEREAS we the citizens of Egypt wish to prevent our collective countryside from being completely overrun with small bonfires:
It is proposed that every bonfire, after it has not been used for a period of three Egyptian days, will be taxed one wood for every 3 subsequent Egyptian days that pass without use.
At such time when any bonfire holds one wood and has not been used for a period of three Egyptian days, it will disappear.
- Pharaoh may or may not decide to include a "reset my primary bonfires" option and/or a list of the coordinates of each user's "Protected" bonfires (under the "special" menu,) to keep them from becoming lost. If Pharaoh decides NOT to implement the bonfire reset and/or coordinate list, the rest of the law will stand.
