== How To Run Tests ==

There's a decent amount of math involved in cooking tests, but once you have the formula, it's relatively simplistic.  For the basic testing, we need to find the relationship between our test subject and three or four known ingredients.  For me, I use Honey, Mutton, and Cabbage to start with, and then replace failed reactions (negative times) with other ingredients.  You'll run every test at a 6:1 ratio for these three ingredients, and then you'll pick the closest one (longest duration), and also test that at 13:1.  Record everything in your own single-pair worksheet - you'll want it later on in your cooking career.

== Relative Coordinate Map ==
+
For testing, we then plug the data into a spreadsheet with the following formulas:
This was built by testing for positive and negative reactions using 29 different ingredients, and is entirely built on the assumption that positive results occur within 1000 coords, and negative (blank) results occur outside of that range.  For a lot of the ingredients, it came out fairly specific, but there are some that have quite a bit of give in the data - as always, use this at your own risk.  The goal here was to find points that are close to one another with the assumption that closer = more duration = better odds of hitting an MP.  I can also add other data points into this graph *relatively* easily, so I can start building a pseudo-grid up.  The more points I add, the more accurate the overall data should be.  Theoretically.  I think.

The lines between items are potential testing anomalies, where the meal registered as valid, but there were no stat changes.  This could be completely legitimate, or it could be that those items were at the very outside edge of the allowable distance, and the stats flashed before I noticed them (probably unlikely) - either way, I wanted to note them; they're probably safe to ignore.

Actual Coordinate Map

Apologies to Arame for invading his page. As he has not visited Egypt for 70 days, I want to alert you to the updated Cooking Graph information. The current Cooking Coordinate Grid is at http://3trends.com/tefnut Last update was 4/18/2011.

The information below is current with Basics, Shrooms and Fish that have been plotted. The Testing Guild link (here and below) leads to the needed herbs page. These are the rare herbs that have not been tested. If you can provide any of these herbs to help with plotting, please contact tefnut in game. We need 6 of each herb to successfully plot the location of that herb.
