+ | == 1. You Can't OWN Property, Man! ==
+ | |||
+ | The intent of this law is to make land ownable. Existing structures will be unaffected, and existing compounds can be expanded/built as normal. Each paid account will be able to own only 1 plot of land, and the size of that plot will be determined by distance from the CS. Other players can be designated as "friends", allowing them to build in your radius of ownership.
+ | |||
+ | # Paid accounts will gain the option to "Make this my home compound" on any cornerstoned compound they own.
+ | # Only 1 cp can be designated as home at a time.
+ | # The first time a cp is designated as home, the effect will be immediate. If a different cp is designated, there will be a 48 hour waiting period during which neither the original nor the new cp is home.
+ | # All existing buildings in the radius of ownership at the time the home designation goes into effect will be unaffected. Existing compounds built by other players will be unaffected as well.
+ | # When a home designation goes into effect, the cornerstone of the designated cp will claim a radius of ownership equal to (the distance from the nearest CS / 50) (revised from distance / 30) coordinates, but not to exceed 80 coords.
+ | # Other players will be unable to build new structures in the home cp's radius of ownership, unless the owning player selects "Add a player as a friend" from the home cp's Ownership menu.
+ | # Friended players will be able to build as normal. Friending can be undone at any time, but unfriending does not remove already-built structures.
+ | |||
+ | == 2. Amendment to Departed Player Act ==
+ | |||
+ | The Departed Player Act shall be amended as follows:
+ | |||
+ | # As these are intended to be temporary structures for new players rather than permanent structures, all exterior woodplanes, flimsy brickracks, flax combs, and small distaffs, regardless of who built them, shall be claimable 14 days after they were constructed. Drying racks will be unaffected by this amendment.
+ | # Any compound which has been at 0% protection level for at least 60 days can be salvaged by anyone.
+ | |||
+ | That is all. |

Herb Rarities
Trading
Policies
Please note that where/how trades happen has changed, as noted in #3, below.
- Values for all items are given in DAGUM Dollars (Delightfully Arbitrary Guum Units of Measurement).
- Please no haggling.
- I have relocated to extreme southeast Maia. As a result, I no longer do trades from my compound -- all trades are now done via tradechests at my expedition site (1320 -6285; about a 5 minute run SSE from the Maia chariot). This means that there will likely be a lag between agreeing upon a trade and the goods being delivered to the tradechests (anywhere from an hour to a day or more). Alternately, if the trade is large (5000 DAGUMs or more), I will meet you at that expedition site to make the trade.
- Inventory fluctuates substantially from day to day and week to week; my needs may also change. Please ask about current inventory before coming down.
- No pre-orders for items I don't have in stock -- if you want to let me know you're looking for something, that's cool and I'm happy to let you know if/when I have it again.
- Don't ask me for a higher-quality blown-glass item than my top-end listed here unless you're willing to pay substantially more for it.

Current Petitions
1. You Can't OWN Property, Man!
The intent of this law is to make land ownable. Existing structures will be unaffected, and existing compounds can be expanded/built as normal. Each paid account will be able to own only 1 plot of land, and the size of that plot will be determined by distance from the CS. Other players can be designated as "friends", allowing them to build in your radius of ownership.
- Paid accounts will gain the option to "Make this my home compound" on any cornerstoned compound they own.
- Only 1 cp can be designated as home at a time.
- The first time a cp is designated as home, the effect will be immediate. If a different cp is designated, there will be a 48 hour waiting period during which neither the original nor the new cp is home.
- All existing buildings in the radius of ownership at the time the home designation goes into effect will be unaffected. Existing compounds built by other players will be unaffected as well.
- When a home designation goes into effect, the cornerstone of the designated cp will claim a radius of ownership equal to (the distance from the nearest CS / 50) (revised from distance / 30) coordinates, but not to exceed 80 coords.
- Other players will be unable to build new structures in the home cp's radius of ownership, unless the owning player selects "Add a player as a friend" from the home cp's Ownership menu.
- Friended players will be able to build as normal. Friending can be undone at any time, but unfriending does not remove already-built structures.
2. Amendment to Departed Player Act
The Departed Player Act shall be amended as follows:
- As these are intended to be temporary structures for new players rather than permanent structures, all exterior woodplanes, flimsy brickracks, flax combs, and small distaffs, regardless of who built them, shall be claimable 14 days after they were constructed. Drying racks will be unaffected by this amendment.
- Any compound which has been at 0% protection level for at least 60 days can be salvaged by anyone.
That is all.
