Obtention
On l'obtient en peignant le lin roui sur un peigne à lin, un râteau d'affinage ou une Egreneuse à lin. Chaque unité de lin roui donne 1 coton. C'est le troisième produit obtenu après la paille et l' étoupe.
Utilisation
- Filé dans un petit rouet ou un grand rouet, il donne 15 fils par unité (soit 1500 fils pour un rouet plein).
