Raeli Basics
Raeli ovens work in two steps: dredging, and baking.
Dredging
When you start dredging, the oven will begin pulling up clay tiles at a steady rate. However, that rate is a random speed determined each time you start the dredging. You might get 1 tile per hour for a bad rate, and 20 tiles per hour if you get a lucky rate.
Dredge rates may have changed in T5: the first tile no longer seems to be a reliable indicator of dredge rate. A tile was fetched in just over 2 minutes, which should have yielded about 24 tiles in an hour. It yielded 5. I think Teppy jiggered the dredging so that the oven begins coughing up tiles after a random delay, regardless of the dredge rate. The dredge rate therefore cannot be determined until a second tile is pulled -- which forces us to pay the 25cc baking fee to reset the dredge rate every time. --Spatulus 13:43, 15 October 2010 (EST)
Baking
Baking is where the tiles acquire their color. They begin white, and darken to black the longer they are baked. Baking costs 25 charcoal, regardless of the number of tiles in the oven or the baking time.
However, if there are NO tiles in the oven, no charcoal is needed to trigger the Bake process. This will stop the oven and reset it with a new dredge rate.
Assuming you have tiles in the oven, baking will begin. Each oven will produce different colors, at different times. The chart below lists all of the colors available and the time needed to cook them. The times below vary due to server lag, and certain colors only last for a few seconds, so be sure to monitor the oven when it gets close to the color you want.
When the tiles reach the desired color, click "Stop baking" to finalize the tiles.
Baking is an all-or-nothing proposition: the oven will bake all tiles it has dredged, and there's no way to bake only a few of them.
