A springbox can be fitted to some machines to increase thier operating speed. This perfomance improvement may be applied regardless of whether the machine has been tuned.
The quality of the spring used will affect the performance improvement. Higher quality is better. Quality of 8500 appears to increase rate by 2.5x.
Springboxes are made from 1 Spring, 1 Cotter Pin and a random three-output Gearbox.
The gearbox required may be determined by using the Check Spring Box requirement option of the Utility submenu of the machine.
Gearboxes may be assembled using Skills->Assembly->Assemble a Spring Box.
Use
- Used to upgrade Flax Gins, Brick Machines, Automatic Looms, Automatic Sawmills, Steam Shovels, Limestone Augers.
- May be fitted to Aqueduct Towers
