Who Am I?
(if you're interested :)
This is my third appearance for any length of time in ATITD: as a dazed newb in T1, in Bastet as a less dazed newb, and in T5 as a relatively experienced newb. My contention is that there is so much to learn and do in ATITD, that I will never become an expert in everything.
In real life, I am married and live with my husband in a charming little bungalow in a rural community of southeastern Saskatchewan Canada. I am a writer, editor and publisher and have just published an anthology called BIRTH OF A UNICORN AND OTHER STORIES. If you are interested in fantasy fiction, take a look at my website at [1]. My passions are writing, gaming, and communicating with people.
In Teppy's Egypt, I love beetles, fishing and flowers, in that order. I am really enjoying the new way of fishing, especially now that the no-common-fish-allowed bug has been fixed. I am catching so many fish that I thought I would keep my own log (as inspired by my friend, tehm), rather than spam the wiki fishing page.
As a side note, I ran for DP in Bastet and came third behind Daniels (who won) and Draim, both of whom were tremendously popular people on that server. My position came as quite a surprise to many in Bastet. I am running again and hope to win the first round, but we'll see :) My platform hasn't changed since Bastet. If you're interested in seeing that DP debate, miy "speech" is up first([2]). And now on to fish:
Merit's Fishing Log
Notes: (1) All fish in this table were with Speed 1; (2) Up to 8-29-10, all lures have been Fresh; (3) Wherever it says Minute Lake, it is a series of three small lakes (ponds) in Sterope at approx. 1351, -2109.
Fish | Size | Fly Name | Region | Coords | RL Date | Egypt Time | Notes |
Catfish | 1 | Glassworm | Sterope | Minute Lake | 8-10-10 | 8:30 to 9p | Took forever afterwards to catch another catfish. |
River Crab | 28 | Woolly Aphid | Sterope | Minute Lake | 8-10-10 | 8:30 to 9p | Only the second fish I caught in this telling. Turns out that between 9 and 11p are my times for fishing. |
River Crab | 25 | Woolly Aphid | Sterope | Minute Lakes | 8-11-10 | 9 to 10p
Catfish | 1 | Clay Slug | Sterope | Minute Lakes | 8-11-10 | 9 to 10p
River Crab | 30 | Woolly Aphid | Sterope | Minute Lakes | 8-11-10 | 9 to 10p | This series of fish caught was the first time I noticed that often subsequent fish caught of the same type are the same or 1 deben lighter than the previous one. |
River Crab | 30 | Woolly Aphid | Sterope | Minute Lakes | 8-11-10 | 9 to 10p
River Crab | 29 | Woolly Aphid | Sterope | Minute Lakes | 8-11-10 | 9 to 10p

Spiny Dogfish | 4 | Clay Slug | Sterope | Merit's Pond | 8-19-10 | * | *Forgot to mark the time down. |
Spiny Dogfish | 3 | Clay Slug | Sterope | Merit's Pond | 8-19-10 | * | This is where I really saw the declining weight sequence at play. These four fish were caught one after the other. |
Spiny Dogfish | 2 | Clay Slug | Sterope | Merit's Pond | 8-19-19 | *
