I would suggest a more logical flow to this article, beginning to an introduction to what fish is in Egypt, how it is caught, what it is used for, and finally ending with the myriad tables of data that have been collected.  Beginning with "TECH FISH NEEDED" is confusing and honestly I don't know what that means and for a newcomer to Egypt must be terrifying. -Blueshift

My theory is each bait has a time in which fish start to spawn for the bait, up to 7 at a time. Each cast generates a random number, with fishing skill added somehow, and if successful, one of the fish in the pool will be hooked. After the hooking, catching the fish has different factors involved. Fish have attributes to them, to catch a fish dice are rolled, common fish having a lower number to beat for success, and rarer fish having higher/multiple numbers to beat. These factors seem to be quickness(Speed) and recognizing(Perception?), as for clumsy I think this is a another fish attribute you need to roll against, but this would only show up for the rarest fish. Fishing skill is factored into all these things somehow.

With fishing skill at 6 and Speed at 24, multiple times I was able to clean out the fishing pool, back-to-back successful catches, once I caught 7, it would tell me No Fish Bit. I waited one minute and caught another fish, then got no fish bit again.

Fishing Skill

Fishing Skill is directly related to the success of "hooking" a fish. That fish being one of seven max, only if that bait is in the right time. After catching 7 fish, a new fish would spawn every minute.

As for how fishing skill increases, the only thing that changed was my base Speed skill, which went from zero to five, which incidentally was the number of levels I gained in fishing skill. Coincident or not, I don't know.
