Operation
Best ratio currently found: 1000 ore, 10cc, open at 9:55 for 60 metal. 10:00 results in 30 metal Using a Blast Furnace at a certain time has no effect on the metal you get. Leaving the metal in the Blast Furnace for a few minutes is the problem. I have only tested this with 1000 ore - Kwinten
466 Ore, 10cc. Produces: 27 metal, pull at 9:27
Fire and Forget Method:
991 ore, 9cc. Produces 54 metal.
455 ore, 9cc. Produces 25 metal.
Recipes
If you want to save ore, use 9 ore:10 CC, stop at 9:15 to get 1 metal 8 clinker and 1 CC back. The higher end breakpoint is unknown right now. Please feel free to correct me and make it known!

Conjecture (Ikuu): Exactly 1000/60 = 50/3 ore cooked for just under 10 minutes yields just under 1 bar, without rounding. The same rate of conversion means that, for 9 minutes of cooking, you need 500/27 ore to get precisely 1 bar, again without rounding. That implies the following FaF recipes:
Ore Used | CC Used | Metal Yield | Time opened | Ore Cost/Metal | CC/Metal | CC/Ore | Metal Yield/1000 Ore | CC Cost/1000 ore | Net Gain |
