Rules

• No spamming. If your post has scrolled off, feel free to repost it.
• Undercutting for the sake of undercutting is not allowed, this is trolling.
  • However it is permissible to say you offer the same item as well.
• Please do not critique prices nor haggle in the channel.
• Trade offers for cicada locations, votes, etc will not be posted.

In the event that the Egypt channel is not available, event and research announcements will be permitted.
Questions regarding those announcements should generally be directed to the person making the announcement, not to the trade channel itself.

If you feel that your message was censored unfairly, please contact an Elder privately.

Moderators

 Please remember mods are players who volunteer some of their time to facilitate Egyptian trade.  They will
post your messages as quickly as possible, but may occasionally need a few minutes.

Anyone interested in moderating for the trade channel should apply to the guild at -1616, 7611 near the Merope CS.

• Abusing mods is never acceptable.
• Off topic chatter will be at moderator discretion. Do not be upset if something off topic is not posted.
• Moderators will not be using the channel as their own private chat to Egypt.

Ownership

The channel was made possible by Microphone Fragments donated by Spafon, tehm, and Lukeera. They are the "Owners" of the channel.

• Should an Owner decide to leave Egypt, s/he may name another player to take over their share in ownership. This successor should be discussed and approved by the other Owners. Any successor should agree to the established goal and rules before inheriting possession, and is then encouraged to offer any suggestions/changes that may be appropriate.
• If an Owner's account expires without warning, their ownership may be forfeit at the discretion of the other Owners (should they not return swiftly)
• Elders may not take personal possession of the microphone at any point.

Suggestions and constructive feedback are welcome. Please /chat an Elder if you have any thoughts on how to improve the channel.

Auctions

Upon request, we will happily host auctions.
Auction events of a limited duration may be arranged to briefly monopolize the channel.
Announcements of auctions where bids are by private chat to the seller are always welcome.
Please be considerate about not spamming bid updates.
