Dates may be gathered from this tree. Once Dates are gathered from the tree they will not grow again until the tree is fertilized with Saltpeter.
By order of the "Courtious [sic] Resource Collection Act" law passed by Egypt, you cannot gather dates from a Date Palm unless you are carrying saltpeter. Upon gathering, 1 saltpeter is automatically used to re-fertilize the tree.
Date Palms can be examined to find Queen Ants. Certain weeks of the year it also produces Fresh Leaves which are used as ant food.
They do not produce wood.
