Hekatef's Personal Beer Guide
Prospective beer hobbyists have to make do with the beer guide currently on the wiki, which has stayed largely unchanged since Tale 3 and contains a lot of missing data, conjecture and outright inaccurate stuff. This telling I've been doing my own tests with an eye toward a comprehensive formulation of the rules governing beer. When I'm done, if other brewers find my work useful, I can transfer my writings to the main wiki. For now, I'm maintaining my page here:
Biography
This year's model is Hekatef V, descendant of the legendary Oracle of Thought from the distant past. Raised by jackals after he and his family were lost in a sandstorm, he was eventually found and returned to civilization, where the scribes at the Universities managed to discern the boy's parentage (an arcane procedure involving cabbage juice, Nut's Essence, and a petri dish). His grandfather, Hekatef IV from the previous tale, took his young relative into his care and began the laborious process of educating the youth. The lessons mostly took, and the now-adult Hekatef V shows little outward evidence of his feral childhood, outside of an intermittent aversion to pants.
