Petition: Portable Water
The importance of good hydration is well known to the citizens of a desert homeland. A portable water supply is a logical development. The necessary materials are available. What we lack is the knowledge that would enable us to make and fill a leather flask at an aquaduct tower, making a portable water supply.
We appeal to Pharoah and his scientists to impart to us the skill to assemble such a flask and use it to transport life- (and skill-) giving waters as we trek across Egypt.
Specific suggestions:
Skill: Assembly: Make a Water Flask
Materials: 2 leather, 10 resin of a specified type (for waterproofing), 2 rawhide strips, 2 twine, 1 bottle stopper, 2 beeswax (for sealing the stopper)
Result: a leather flask that can be filled at any aquaduct tower that has a supply of water, good for one drink.
Optional: Water in the flask would lose some potency over time, eventually becoming stagnant and undrinkable. Flasks could be emptied like jugs of water and refilled when empty. The ability to make larger flasks could be an more advanced level of the skill.
